ODESSA - It was a roller coaster day in day three of the trial of Victor White.
During testimony on Thursday, Victor White asked the court if he could represent himself during his trial.
The judge advised him against it but was later told he could.
However, when it came time for White to sign a waiver to refuse legal counsel, he didn't do it and his original court-appointed lawyer was brought back into the courtroom.
Several witnesses testified on the stand on Thursday including Victor White himself.
White is accused of shooting two deputies and another person back in September of 2010. That lead to a 22 hour standoff with police.
Closing arguments will begin at 9 a.m. on Friday.
