Victor White Will Not Represent Himself in His Own Trial

UPDATE: It's been an intense day in the courtroom. Victor White asked to represent himself in his own trial. The judge agreed to allow it, but then White refused to sign a waiver to refuse the right of counsel. Because of that he will not be allowed to represent himself.  

UPDATE: NewsWest 9 has learned that Victor White will be representing himself in his own trial.

The judge says White's court appointed attorney will remain in the courtroom as standby legal counsel. 

NewsWest 9 will be covering the trial all day.

NewsWest 9 has learned that Victor White, the man who is accused of shooting two deputies and another person back in September of 2010, has asked the court if he can represent himself in his own case.

We're told the judge is advising White not to represent himself.

The final decision has not yet been made.
