MIDLAND - If you live in Midland, you'll be able to bring in the New Year with a bang.

The County is not banning fireworks this year.

But the Fire Marshal is urging you to be careful when getting ready to set them off, even if you're only using sparklers.

Fireworks are still banned in the city.

If you're caught within 5,000 feet of city limits shooting them off, you could be fined up to $2,000.
