ODESSA - ONCOR is warning customers about a new scam after a call that was made to La Bodega in Odessa last week.
Workers at the restaurant received a call from someone saying that their electricity would be shut off if they didn't make a payment.
It seemed suspicious because the caller didn't speak English.
According to ONCOR, they don't collect money from customers over the phone.
They want to make sure you know to check the ID badge of any worker who shows up at your door and to never let them into your house or see your electric bill.
