Elderly Man’s Body Found Buried in Backyard in Carlsbad

CARLSBAD, N.M. - The body of an elderly man was found buried in the backyard this past weekend in Carlsbad.

Detectives were tipped off that 88-year-old Thomas Allumbaugh was buried in the backyard of his own home.

With the help of a cadaver dog, they searched two days and finally found pieces of his body buried separately in the yard.

So far, no one has been arrested.

Police say the man's grandson reported that the elderly man had gone missing on Friday.
