East Texas Elementary School Receives Bomb Threat From An Inmate in Ector County

Officials are investigating after receiving a bomb threat near Waco but we're told the threat came from West Texas.

We're told by officials in Marlin, Texas, which is located right outside of Waco, that an inmate in Ector County called in a bomb threat to Marlin Elementary School.

Details are limited at this time but here's what we know.

The bomb threat was called in Monday afternoon around 2 p.m.

Students were evacuated and no explosives were ever found.

Investigators determined the call came from a county inmate account in Ector County.

It is not clear which jail the call came from in Ector County.
