MIDLAND - Passengers at the Midland International Airport were nearly rundown Wednesday afternoon when a drunk driver swerved onto the terminal sidewalk.
Police say 61-year-old Sherrie Carter drove her Lincoln Towncar into the terminal entryway and drove onto the sidewalk.
Carter took out four signs narrowly missed some passengers and then crashed into a police car.
No one was hurt but Carter was arrested for DWI; she was also ticketed for driving on the sidewalk.
Police say she was under the influence of prescription narcotics.
