MIDLAND - An autopsy is underway for a 9-year-old boy who was found hanging at a playground at Airline Mobile Home Park. Midland County Sheriffs Deputies responded to the scene Sunday just after 5 PM.

When deputies arrived at the scene, EMS from the Midland Fire Department were doing CPR on the boy. He was transported to Midland Memorial where he was pronounced dead on arrival.

Some younger children were playing at a playground in the Southwest Corner of Airline Mobile Home Park. The younger juveniles went to a home in the 800 Block of Airline, leaving him by himself.

Sheriff's officials say when the children returned to the playground, they found him hanging from a garden hose tied between two trees.
