An Indie movie shot in the town of Marfa is making a big splash overseas.
In fact, it won best film at the Rome Film Festival this weekend.
"Marfa Girl" is a film directed by Larry Clark and stars a local teen.
In case you're not familiar with Larry Clark, he's directed what some might consider to be edgy films like "Kids," "Bully" and "Ken Park."
According to the director, the movie is about a teenager trying to navigate a culture of sex, drugs and even racism.
