A long-haul trucker has pled guilty of being involved in a multi-state drug transporting ring with ties to Mexico.
37-year-old Rigoberto Marquez, who's from Odessa, told a judge that more than $300,000 police found in his trailer was actually money he received from dealing dope.
He also admitted to trying to recruit fellow truck drivers to join his transport service and take cocaine from Arizona to Ohio.
Another truck driver was sent undercover by the FBI to record conversations between him and Marquez.
In some of those conversations, Marquez told him where he would hide the cocaine and money from police and even talked about how he carried drugs for the cartel.
A sentencing date hasn't been set yet.
If convicted, Marquez faces up to 10 years in prison.
