MARFA - Huge bags of marijuana were found on a school bus in Marfa that was carrying athletes from Van Horn.

The Presidio Sheriff's Office found five duffel bags of pot.

According to the Big Bend Now newspaper, on Monday night they were found in the cargo hold of a school bus as the athletes were headed home from a basketball game in Presidio.

The paper says while the bus was refueling, the driver and coach opened the cargo hold area underneath the bus and that's when the duffel bags spilled out.

Authorities were alerted but so far no one has been arrested.

The investigation has been turned over to the Drug Enforcement Agency.
