Man Convicted of Stabbing Couple Two Decades Ago May Learn When He’ll Be Put to Death

ODESSA - An Odessa man, accused of brutally stabbing a couple to death nearly two decades ago, may finally know when he will be put to death.

Michael Gonzales, nicknamed "Spider", was convicted and sentenced to death in the 1994 stabbing and robbery of his elderly neighbors, Manuel and Mercedes Aguirre.

Gonzales has already had his execution halted twice.

There will be a hearing on November 29 to set the date for his death.
