Body of Retired Veteran Killed in Parade Crash Returns Home

NORTH CAROLINA - The body of a retired veteran killed in the parade accident returned home to North Carolina.

A Fort Bragg Color Guard joined dozens of friends and co-workers as the remains of Army Sergeant Major Larry Boyvin arrived at Raleigh-Durham International Airport on Sunday night.

Boyvin retired from the army after 24 years of active duty including four tours of duty in Afghanistan.

He was awarded the Silver Star, Bronze Star and a Purple Heart.

Boyvin leaves behind his wife, Angela, and two step-daughters.
