ODESSA - One student is in trouble after an anonymous tip about a gun turned out to be toy guns.
Mike Adkins with Ector County ISD tells NewsWest 9, Odessa High School officials received an anonymous tip that a student may have been in possession of a weapon in a classroom.
Officials entered the classroom where the student was located and conducted a search of all the students and their possessions and officers found two toy guns in a student's backpack.
ECISD says because the guns were toys, there will be no criminal charges files but administrative action will be taken in accordance with the Student Code of Conduct.
