Hobbs Man Behind Bars for Pulling Gun on Ex-Girlfriend, Punching Her

HOBBS, N.M. - A Hobbs man is behind bars for pulling a gun on his ex-girlfriend and punching her in the face.

19-year-old Darren Morgan and his ex were arguing outside some apartments in Hobbs last Thursday.

According to the police report, Morgan asked his ex to see their daughter and she told him no.

That's when things got violent and Morgan ran into his ex's car twice, approached the woman's car and started punching her in the face.

Then he pulled a gun on her, got in his car and drove away.

He's charged with aggravated assault, battery and criminal damage to property.
