Big steps are being made in the recovery of a young Midland bullfighter who was injured by a bull and ended up in a coma.
It looks now like Cody Hollums will soon be leaving an East Texas hospital and heading back west.
His family says Hollums has been taking a few steps and is ready to get his life moving again.
On Friday, he'll be leaving a Tyler hospital and will head to Lubbock to start rehab therapy.
His family says he is making tremendous progress but is not quite ready for visitors.
Over a month ago, Cody jumped into a Lufkin arena to distract a bull.
The animal spun around, knocking him to the ground and then kicking him in the head.
Cody was taken to a Lufkin hospital and later airlifted to a hospital in Tyler.
