Man Wanted in Midland County Stabbing Arrested in Presidio

MIDLAND COUNTY - A man wanted for a stabbing in Midland County has been caught at the Port of Entry in Presidio. 18-year-old Ivan Galindo was arrested for attempted murder. Galindo's brother was also arrested.

Customs agents ran a check on the two men after they showed up at the Presidio Port of Entry around 11 Friday night. That's when they discovered an attempted murder warrant for Ivan Galindo. His 22-year-old brother, Christian Javier Galindo was arrested for Hindering Apprehension of a known felon.

Ivan Galindo's bond has been set at $100,000 by Justice of the Peace Precinct 2 David Cobos and is awaiting transfer to the Midland County Jail.

He's accused of stabbing a 17-year-old man around 20 times at a home in the 8300 of West County Road 116. Three of the wounds were life threatening. The stabbing happened back on October 28.

The 17 year old stabbing victim remains in Midland Memorial hospital where he is recovering in good condition.

Both men will be brought back to Midland County.
