MIDLAND - A Midland man remains jailed after police say he pulled a knife and threatened his girlfriend then turned suicidal.

Back in September, police say Nathan Nicholas' girlfriend was at his apartment when her mother called and told her to get home.

Apparently that didn't sit well with Nicholas.

According to the affidavit, when she got into her car .he  pulled her out by her hair and dragged her back to the apartment where he threatened her with a knife.

After taking her keys and her phone, Nicholas reportedly told her he would kill her if she didn't obey him.

Minutes later, he took a box cutter and slashed his own wrists.

She was able to escape and call police.

Nicholas was taken to the hospital where authorities say he made several threats to kill himself.

Once released, he was jailed on several charges.
