ARC of Permian Basin to Help With Sandy Relief Efforts

Midland, Texas – The American Red Cross of the Permian Basin will respond in the aftermath of Hurricane Sandy.

According to Permian Basin Area Chapter Executive Director, Stephanie Murphree, "Our chapter's Emergency Response Vehicle will be deploying Thursday morning for New Jersey with two crew members to aid with response."

The Emergency Response Vehicle from the local chapter will be used in a variety of ways that will include mobile feeding, disaster assessment, and client casework.  The American Red Cross is anticipating recovery work to continue through Thanksgiving in some of the affected areas.
