Investigation Into Evening Home Robbery in Midland Continues

MIDLAND - We're learning more about a scary home robbery that happened on Tuesday in Midland which forced two schools into lockdown.

The robbery happened in the 3100 block of Roosevelt.

Police say four young men approached some people outside of their home with rifles and shotguns demanding money.

The victims ran into their house and shut their doors but the men forced their way in through the back door.

The suspects took some cash from the house then fired a shot into the door of the bathroom hitting one of the victim's legs.

Police believe the suspects were three Hispanic men and one Black male possibly in their early twenties.

They believe they drove off in silver colored van or SUV.

The victim that was shot drove himself to the hospital and is expected to recover.

Two nearby elementary schools were put on lockdown as a precaution.
