Smoke Alarm on United Flight Forces Emergency Landing in Midland

MIDLAND - It was an unscheduled stop at the Midland International Airport on Monday after a smoke alarm forced a plane to land there.

It all took place just after noon on Monday.

According to reports, the smoke alarm went off in the bathroom of a United flight.

The pilot was able to land the plane safely and the 32 people on board were evacuated.

Maintenance crews checked out the plane.

However, no smoke or fire was ever found.
