Pedestrian Hit in Midland Remains In Critical Condition

MIDLAND - A pedestrian was hit crossing a roadway in Midland Tuesday night. It happened in the 1500 Block of West Industrial.

Police say the driver of an F-150 pickup was traveling East on West Industrial and struck the person.

The victim was dressed in dark clothing, was not in a crosswalk, and failed to yield the right of way to the pickup. The pedestrian was transported to Midland Memorial Hospital in critical condition.  

No traffic/criminal violations are pending.

    A shooting just after 3 p.m. Saturday near 3rd Street and Detroit Avenue has left one person in the hospital at University Medical Center.
