MIDLAND - Congressman Mike Conaway was at Trinity School in Midland on Tuesday talking to high school students about the importance of being knowledgeable about politics.
The congressman talked to AP Government and History students, some of which are 18, and could be participating in their first election.
He explained to them about the Affordable Care Act, they discussed Monday night's presidential debate and he told them it's not who you vote for, it's being an informed voter that matters.
"I really only want informed voters. I don't want someone going in marking the ballot all willy nilly," Conaway said.
The congressman, whose children went to Trinity, says he's excited the students were so eager to participate in the election.
