MIDLAND - Midland elementary students got a jump start on the Keep Midland Beautiful campaign on Friday.

It was a group effort as students from different grades took turns cleaning and picking up trash outside their school for "Make a Difference Day."

Other kids in Midland are going to be helping out on Saturday as well.

Kids at Long Elementary school will start at 9:30 a.m. and different organizations from Midland High will be cleaning up in their neighborhood near Big Spring Street and on campus.

They'll be starting bright and early at 8 a.m.

If you would like to take part in cleaning up your area of town, just head over to www.keepmidlandbeautiful.org to register.

A free lunch will be provided at Hogan Park starting at 10:30 a.m. and you'll get a free t-shirt for participating.

There will also be activities for the kids at the park.
