MIDLAND - The search is over for a man who robbed a convenience store on Wednesday morning.

32-year-old Jonathan David Bridges, who is from North Carolina, was arrested on Wednesday evening at the Super Mercado parking lot in Midland.

The armed robbery happened just before 3 a.m. at the Kent Kwik in the 5300 block of West Wadley.

The clerk told officers that Bridges walked in bought a cigar and left.

A couple of minutes later, he came back and lured the clerk down the hallway near the restrooms.

The suspect then asked the clerk if he wanted to make some extra money and that's when the clerk told him he needed to leave.

Bridges then put on a sick act and pulled the clerk into the restroom.

While holding a knife to his head and putting a 20 dollar bill in his hands, Bridges told the victim to go to the back room while he took some beer.

The suspect got away with three six packs of beer.

Bridges has been charged with aggravated robbery.
