ODESSA - Zombies took over downtown Odessa on Sunday but it wasn't the zombie apocalypse.
It was actually for a good cause.
Over 900 pounds of non-perishable and canned goods were donated.
Children and adults dressed up in their bloody best and took to the streets for a zombie walk to benefit the West Texas Food Bank.
Because of the overwhelming turnout, organizers say they're hoping to make the walk an annual event and that it will eventually turn into an all-out parade.
