MIDLAND - New information on a fatal accident that happened on Saturday afternoon in Midland.

Police have released the name of the driver who was killed.

The accident happened on Lamesa Road near Loop 250 after 3 p.m.

Police identified 34-year-old Chakalia Jackson as the driver who died in the crash.

Officers say Jackson was heading northbound on Lamesa in a Chevy Lumina.

According to witnesses, the car was driving at a high rate of speed and was seen swerving all over the road.

We're told the car lost control, went into a side skid and then went into the southbound lane of Lamesa.
