HOBBS, N.M. - A mom in Hobbs is caught trafficking large amounts of methamphetamine leaving her two children caught in the middle of a drug raid.
In August, the Lea County Drug Task Force got a tip that 39-year-old April Padilla was trafficking the drug from various homes in Hobbs.
So this week, the force executed a search warrant at her home and turned up $300 worth of meth, packaging material, scales and drug paraphernalia.
Her two kids, ages 14 and four, were in the home when it was raided.
Padilla was booked on several charges.
