Two People Transported to the Hospital After Accident With School Bus in Odessa

UPDATE: The Odessa Police Department has released new information on a three vehicle accident involving a school bus Tuesday.

Police say 21-year-old Dustin Blake was driving a Toyota Tundra northbound on East Loop 338. That's when police say he collided with 87-year-old Kate Butler. Butler was traveling southbound on East Loop 338, attempting to make a left turn onto Rivers Road. Butler's Suburban ended up spinning sideways striking a light pole. The Tundra then veered towards a school bus that was stopped at the light.

The school bus was not damaged and no one inside the bus was hurt. Dustin Blake and Kate Butler were transported to Medical Center Hospital with non life threatening injuries. Albert Butler, a passenger in the Chevrolet, was transported to Medical Center Hospital with serious injuries.

The investigation continues.

ODESSAA school bus accident in Odessa left a few students a little shaken.

According to police, a truck crashed into a suburban on Loop 338 on Tuesday afternoon.

The suburban flew into a pole and the truck veered into the school bus which was sitting at a stop light.

Over 40 children from LBJ Elementary were on board during the crash.

Fortunately everyone on the bus, including the bus driver, were able to walk away without injuries.

However, the driver of the suburban and her passenger were taken to the hospital.
