ODESSA - Two pets were killed in an Odessa fire on Monday afternoon.
Now ashes are being swept up after a unit went up in flames at the Acacia Apartments.
Investigators are still trying to determine how the top unit caught fire.
One person was inside when it started but they were able to escape in time.
However, their two puppies were killed in the fire.
The bottom apartment did suffer water damage.
