Three Presidio High School students got to see their science project launched into space on Sunday.

When the rocket launched from the Cape Canaveral Station in Florida on Sunday night, the science project was on board.

The project is an experiment to test how space can affect the body.

Microgravity has shown to have harsh effects on astronauts bodies and most of the time they come back with bones that resemble someone much older.

The experiment will determine whether astronauts need to take supplements to help with digestion and to prevent bone loss.
