INFINITY2-1R research-grade microscopy camera supports breast cancer.
Ottawa, Ontario (PRWEB) October 08, 2012
Lumenera Corporation, http://www.lumenera.com, a leading developer and manufacturer of high performance digital cameras and custom imaging solutions for scientific, industrial and security applications, today announced the release of a pink ribbon-branded INFINITY2-1R microscopy camera. A portion of sales proceeds will be donated to the Breast Cancer Foundation, helping to increase awareness of the disease and raise funds for research into its cause, prevention, diagnosis, treatment and cure.
The research-grade INFINITY2-1R scientific USB 2.0 camera will feature the recognizable pink ribbon that is the international symbol of breast cancer awareness. This camera will be the first of its kind in Lumenera’s popular INFINITY portfolio.
Lumenera is dedicated to supporting a variety of causes including: the purchase of art from H’Art, an art and literacy program for adults with developmental disabilities; toy and food donations for the annual Toy Mountain and Food Bank Campaigns to help less fortunate children and adults; and Movember, raising funds for the number one male cancer, prostate cancer.
“The launch of this ribbon-branded camera, well known in the industry for its excellent price-to-performance ratio, is an exciting one as everyone knows of a life that has been touched by this disease.” stated Shari Anne Bordeleau, Director of Channel Sales, Lumenera Corporation. “Our partners and customers alike will be helping in the search for a cure through their support of this popular camera model.”
Lumenera will be donating $20.00 from each camera sale, and will not be capping contributions. Additionally, Lumenera’s team will support the cause through other fundraising efforts including participation in the Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation CIBC Run for the Cure, a silent auction and bake sales.
The ribbon-branded INFINITY2-1R camera is now available in color or monochrome. For a live demonstration visit Lumenera at Neuroscience 2012, booth #2220, in New Orleans, LA, from October 13 to 17.
