ODESSA - Water for the future is on the agenda for Odessa City Council this week.
Members will consider an agreement with the City of Fort Stockton to bring in more water.
Odessa city officials have been looking into partnering with Fort Stockton and getting water from the Capitan Reef Aquifer.
The water source is about nine miles south of Fort Stockton and studies show it has an abundant amount of water that even Fort Stockton could use as a backup source.
Members will discuss the item at their regular meeting on Tuesday.
The meeting will take place at 6 p.m. at Odessa City Hall.
