ODESSA- Learning more about the oil companies around the Basin will become more accessible and it's getting ready to hit news stands near you. A magazine is launching called, Permian Basin Energy, based on oil, gas and energy.

An oilfield worker is gracing the front cover of the first issue of the magazine.

"We are in the heart of the oilfield. We are where everyone wants to be and there's not anything like this. We have publications out there but not viable ones," Crystal Reyes, Account Executive of Permian Basin Energy Magazine, said.

The first issue has nearly 50 pages of information about oil companies and how to better understand the issues and trends in their business.

Not only will they be giving insights on different topics for those businesses correlated with the local energy industry but educate the general public about the biz as well.

"A lot of people don't know what's going on in the oilfield, a lot of people have questions, this is pretty much let everyone know, what's going on, what companies are doing what," Reyes said.

The magazine is expected to come out on a monthly basis and the first issue will be out on October 15th.

You can find them at convenience stores and in your local grocery stores in Midland, Odessa and Andrews. They'll also be handing them out at the Permian Basin International Oil Show coming up in two weeks.
