ODESSA - Tense moments at Odessa High School on Friday morning.

Police set up a perimeter in a neighborhood near the school looking for a guy with a gun.

Around  8:30 a.m., three students told a district officer that a black guy in a gray hoodie flashed a gun on Ninth Street and Bernice.

But the students said he didn't point the revolver at them or threaten them.

The first period pep rally was canceled but the school didn't lock their doors.

School district police figured out who the guy was and found him around 12:30 p.m.

They searched his house and didn't find anything.

No charges will be filed.
