Local State Senator Named Chairman of Senate Higher Education Committee

A local State Senator will have a big impact on our kids higher education.

On Thursday, Lieutenant Governor David Dewhurst appointed Senator Kel Seliger as Chairman of the Senate Higher Education Committee.

In a statement, Seliger says he appreciates the opportunity to work with the colleges and universities and adds he'll work to ensure every Texan, who wants higher education, will have the opportunity to get it affordably.
