MIDLAND - A man who made his mark on the City of Midland has passed away.
Former City Manager Fred Poe died on Monday.
He was 85.
Poe started working for the city more than 50 years ago beginning near the bottom and quickly working his way up.
He took over as City Manager in 1987 and held the job for six years.
Funeral services will be held for Poe on Thursday at the First Baptist Church in Midland at 3 pm.
