MIDLAND - An arrest has been made after a text threat forced to schools in Midland to go on lockdown on Tuesday.

27-year-old Michael Anthony Williams, II, was arrested on Tuesday night for aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.

Apparently he was behind the cryptic texts to a Coleman High School student.

After getting the texts, she told authorities.

Since the student went to Coleman High School and the Advanced Technology Center, both schools decided to go into lockdown.

Several law enforcement agencies maintained security at both campuses throughout the day.
