New shocking information about the man accused of killing his ex in Houston then dumping her body in Midland County.

Police have released new details about Mark Castellano's confession.

An interview with Mark Castellano, the man accused of killing his ex-girlfriend in Houston and dumping her body in Midland is supposed to air on NewsWest 9 on Thursday.

Mark Castellano taped an interview for the "Dr. Phil" Show two days before admitting to the crime.

Now investigators are trying to find out if he spilled the beans earlier but they believe he maintained his innocence.

On Monday night, Castellano was formally charged with murder after confessing to killing his ex, 31-year-old Michelle Warner.

Investigators say Castellano told them the couple was arguing over money when it got violent.

He told the court how he broke Warner's neck and put a plastic bag over her head and tied it off.

He said the couple's three year old son was in the home when his mother was killed and saw her feet hanging off the bed to which Castellano told him "mommy's asleep."

Police say Castellano told investigators he drove the couple's young son to his parents' home in Odessa before returning to Houston to get Warner's body.

Castellano left the body in a plastic container in the backseat of a car parked outside his parents' home for a day and a half before coming to Midland to get rid of her body.

Castellano flew back to Houston on Sunday to speak to investigators and after a few hours of questioning, he confessed to the killing.

After the confession, Houston homicide detectives called Midland County Deputies and gave them a location to search.

Warner's body was found on Sunday night at an oilfield site off of County Road 150 and County Road 1200.

The Dr. Phil episode will feature Warner's family and Castellano on Thursday at 3 p.m. on NewsWest 9.
