One Dead, Four Injured After Head-On Collision With Ambulance

PRESIDIO - One person is dead and four others injured after a head on collision with an ambulance in Presidio.
It happened Friday afternoon on U.S. Highway 67.
DPS officials say a truck driven by 35-year-old Rudolfo Sotelo-Guanesten, of Odessa, was heading southbound in the northbound lane.
The truck was coming around a curve in a no passing zone when it crashed head on into an ambulance.
Sotelo died at the scene. His passenger, 29-year-old Victor Santana, was taken to Big Bend Regional Medical Center in critical condition. 64-year-old Julian Galindo, 27-year-old Isidro Pando and 51-year-old Steven Roberts were inside the ambulance.
They were also taken to Big Bend Regional in stable condition.
Pando and Roberts are both EMS workers in Presidio.
The DPS report also stated that conditions on the road were wet.
