ODESSA - An Odessa man will spend the rest of his life behind bars for murder and racking up several other crimes.
A jury handed down the decision on Friday night.
Ricky Taylor was given 25 years in prison for murder and being an ex-con with a gun.
He murdered 32-year-old Johnny Lee Mackey back in 2009.
That will get tacked on to the 30 years he was given for attacking a peace officer in Waxahachie, Texas.
You may remember Taylor escaped from the Ector County Jail last March with another inmate but was caught shortly after.
