Some of those floodwaters are not draining off the roads even though we're seeing light showers.
Here are some roads that you need to avoid in Midland.
We're told they're open and closed depending on the water levels.
- All of Scharbauer Road
- Golf Course Road, near Fairgrounds
- Dormard by the Midland Draw
- Terrell at Mississippi and Louisiana
- Midkiff by Grafa Park
The Texas Department of Transportation tells NewsWest 9, all state roads and highways in Midland and Odessa are open at this time.
We're told no roads in Odessa are closed right now.
If you're headed out of town, especially toward Abilene or Dallas, you need to check the road conditions, you can go to drivetexas.org for those road conditions.
