Heavy Rain Forces Some High School Football Games to Rescheduled, Postponed

PERMIAN BASIN - The heavy rain in the Basin is a welcoming sight.

However, it is causing some problems with Friday night's high school football schedule.

All Midland and Odessa football games will be played on Friday night.

The Coahoma -Ballinger game has been moved to Buffalo Stadium in Forsan. We're told the football field is really wet and forcing has AstroTurf and the homecoming events will be rescheduled. The homecoming king and queen will be crowned at the next home game.

As for forcing, their game with Crane has been postponed until Saturday at 2 p.m. at El Ave Stadium. 

The rain has postponed the Greenwood-Lamesa game. It will be played on Saturday at 7:30 p.m. at Grande Communications Stadium in Midland. All homecoming activities including the crowning of the queen will be on Saturday.

Lastly, the Midland Trinity game against Water Valley has been canceled and will not be rescheduled.
