MONAHANS - A Monahans woman is looking for her 19-year-old son who she says has been missing for more than a week now. She says it's not like him to just disappear into thin air. She's worried something bad may have happened after getting a cryptic phone call from him a week ago.
Isabel Hernandez has been living this nightmare and she says this is not his nature.
"Please call me just to let me know that he's alive. Even if he doesn't come home, I just want to know that he is alive," Isabel Hernandez, mother of Timothy Ryan Soto, said.
She tells NewsWest 9 there were times he would not call in a day or two but never go a week without talking to his daughter, Trinity. Hernandez fears something happened to her son because of a strange call she received from him the same day he went missing.
"I haven't spoken to him, sometimes in days, but the way the phone call was, it was a scary phone call so I know that he was really scared, he was really scared," Hernandez said.
Timothy moved to Odessa two weeks ago, Hernandez says they found some of his personal belongings at his apartment, however is red 1997 Camaro is still missing.
"His car. We can't find his car, his wallet and his debit card, his driver's license, all his personal belongings are at that apartment," Hernandez said.
NewsWest 9 spoke to Sherrie Carruth with the Odessa Police Department says there was a missing report filed last week for Timothy, however there is no indication there was any foul play in his disappearance.
"There is nothing to indicate that he left against his will or that he is gone because of anything suspicious," Carruth said.
Hernandez says she has had many sleepless nights without knowing where her son might be.
"It's hard, it breaks my heart, I just want to know that he is ok. I just want him home safe," Hernandez said.
