BIG SPRING - A Big Spring man pled guilty to prohibited sexual conduct, better known as incest.

According to the Big Spring Herald, 54-year-old Edgar Whitt accepted a plea deal and was sentenced to 10 years in prison.

You might remember earlier this year, Whitt and his daughter, Tamara Ruth Whitt, were charged with child endangerment after a seven year old boy was found riding his bike along Highway 87 in Big Spring.

Police began investigating after the boy said he was running away from home and had been put in a strait jacket.

During their investigation, officials discovered that Whitt had fathered a child with his daughter.

The Herald reports Whitt will have to serve about two years, with time served taken into consideration, before he is eligible for parole.

With the plea deal, the District Attorney's Office will not prosecute Tamara Whitt.
