ODESSA - Overcrowded classrooms have become a problem in Ector County and now the district is looking for more help.

ECISD plans on hiring on 31 teacher aides to help ease the strain.

They will also look into opening another satellite Pre-K classroom on an elementary campus.

So far, Ector and Midland ISD have hired on more than 600 teachers this year to keep up with the growth.

However, they say some have turned down job offers here because of the lack of housing.
