ODESSA - Two Target employees got pummeled after they tried to stop four shoplifters from leaving the store with the unpaid goods.

It happened at the Odessa Target on 42nd Street.

Police say three Hispanic guys were handing stuff to a girl to hide in her purse.

When they tried to leave, two of the men went over to an employee as a distraction.

Another employee saw the crooks walking out of the doors and went over to them and that's when the girl grabbed the employee by her hair and started punching her.

The second employee stepped in to help and one of the guys punched her in the chest.

Then all four of the robbers started running across the parking lot, jumped into their red SUV and left.

If you have any information about them or the robbery, call Odessa CrimeStoppers at (432) 333-TIPS.
