Girl Hurt While Trying to Get to School, Man Facing Child Endangerment Charges

MIDLAND - A little girl was hurt trying to get to school on Thursday morning in Odessa.

Now Andres Vasquez has been charged with endangering a child.

Police say Vasquez stopped in the middle of the road in front of Travis Elementary to let a nine year old girl out.

As she was getting out of the vehicle, Vasquez began driving off causing injuries to the little girl's leg.

Vasquez was charged for endangering the girl and for having pot in his vehicle.
