HOBBS, N.M. - Good news for Hobbs Police Chief J.D. Sanders, he still has a job.

Sanders returned back to work on Monday after being put on administrative leave for nearly two weeks.

The chief was on leave following a run-in with a Hobbs police officer in public.

The city launched an investigation into what exactly happened and both parties agreed things could have been handled differently.

The City Manager told the Hobbs News Sun, no one would be reprimanded in the matter.

NewsWest 9 did put in several calls to the Hobbs City Manager, none of those were returned.
