MIDLAND - A new candidate has jumped into the race for a Midland School Board seat.

Robert Marquez made the announcement at South Elementary on Wednesday.

Marquez is an independent oil and gas consultant.

He graduated from Midland High and went on to Troy State University and the Air Force.
